A lifelong musician and artist, Erik Ralston spent most of his childhood and high school years at his drawing table or practicing his electric bass. During that time he had but a brief encounter with photography. A long four years of active duty in the Marine corps interrupted his artistic pursuits, while his love of pencil on paper seemed to dwindle. It wasn't until around the turn of the millennium, when Erik decided that his college band needed a web site, that the digital palette of Photoshop renewed his interest in creating imagery. This led him to the discovery of a passion for what could be captured and created with a digital camera.

In early 2006, Erik's love for photography, coupled with the passion to improve his knowledge and talent, was enhanced with studying, shooting, and conversing with other experienced photographers whenever the opportunity presented itself. Within the last two years Erik fell into the local Boston fashion scene and began photographing events, fashion shows, parties, and eventually trying his hand at portraiture in his modest home studio. Erik loves the challenge of capturing a moment on "film", while trying to express his interpretation of a scene or person to the viewer through light and color. Erik is thankful for each opportunity to work with new clients and continually improve at his craft.
